For quite a while now LCT Airsoft is putting emphasis on a modular design of their replicas. The first product to appear in many variants was the LC-3 which is a replica of the HK G3 rifle. The Heckler & Koch G3 entered service in the Bundeswehr in 1959.
It was replaced 40 years later with the G36. But I was still produced until 2001. Over the year different versions of the G3 rifle were bought by 50 countries. 15 of them were also manufacturing their own rifles.
Many versions of the G3 rifle replica are available in the offer of LCT Airsoft. What’s important, buying one replica, you can covert it into an other version in the future Like the one I’m holding here.
We have focused on versions available at the manufacturer’s website and those we were able to assemble from the parts we received. We can choose between parts in two colors black and green. The available parts are: four types of stocks three types of handguards four types of magazines and also additional accessories like a RIS rail and a bayonet adapter.
The basic version, that is the LC3A3S consists of (and here we give the manufacturer’s parts designations) The version with a collapsible stock, the so called PARA version is the LC3A4W it uses the following parts: The marksman version is the LC3SG1 it uses the following parts: The is also a modernized version, the LC3AR and it consists of: and also optionally a top RIS rail.
The replicas come with the standard charging handle tube nut. Which is simply called a cap. For those who want more the manufacturer offers and accessory bayonet adapter. According to the manufacturer, it is compatible with a real bayonet.
Apart from one exception, exchanging parts is done very smoothly. Usually, the only thing that needs to be done is to remove the pins. Changing the charging handle is more complicated.
