Hi everyone, I’m Fidel, from the Nice AirSoft Equipe team Please excuse the weird voice, I’m a bit sick We’ll do the video anyway 🙂 We’ll show you how to modify a pop rivet to reduce the fps output of your TIPPMANN M4 You’ll need Some pop rivets (4mmx16mm) Plyers Some files And of course a metal saw.
Let’s go ! Make sure you get the proper rivet size, 4mm diameter by 16mm lenght. Remove the long part from the rivet, it’s easy. Like so : That goes to the trash can. And you keep that part. You’ll need to remove the head of the rivet Again, very easy, just saw the part off.
Here’s the result Now you need to file it down to a smooth surface, as flat as possible If you didn’t put too much pressure that part shouldn’t be damaged, it’s important to keep it nice and smooth as it will fit down the power tube.
There are some damages on mine but it’s just to show you the result, my M4 is already equipped with it. Now, make sure you file it with a 45° angle, like so. Here’s the end result Why 45° ? Because it allows you to use the fps screw to regulate the fps even more should you need it.
To install the rivet, remove the fps screw so there’s enough clearance to put the rivet down the tube. And make sure to put it like so : 45° angle facing the fps screw. as the screw will be moving up and down under that part.
Put it down the tube and then adjust the fps screw back to your desired fps. It must look like this. It’s harder to film and explain than actually doing it ! I’m pretty sure you’ll get it right on first try 😉
